Over 50. 4 runs. Bowler: Matthew Kelly. Queensland: 323/8(rr 6.46)
49.1Kelly to H Weibgen4
Four runs. FOUR! Matthew Kelly to Hugh Weibgen. Full toss, working, Played past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Queensland seal a stunning victory in the final over after looking down and out early on. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Western Australia got off to a strong start on a pitch that looked tailor-made for batting. The standout performer was Joel Curtis, who played a brilliant innings of 116, anchoring the WA innings and helping them post an imposing total of 321. Queensland's chase, however, began in disastrous fashion. Early wickets tumbled, and the pressure of the large target seemed to weigh heavily on their top order, as they slumped to 38-4. But then came a truly remarkable innings from Hugh Weibgen. Calm under pressure and composed in his stroke play, Weibgen turned the tide with a masterful 115 not out, with fine support from Jack Wildermuth, who made 74, and Michael Neser, guiding Queensland to the win with just five balls to spare.
