Defending 110, the Renegades got off to a great start as Mair picked up 2 quick wickets. The spin trio of Molineux, Wareham and Strano were hard to get away in the middle overs and despite starts from Knight and Trenaman the Thunder were always behind the required rate. Requiring 19 off the last over, Smith hit three consecutive boundaries to put the Thunder in with a shot of a highly improbable victory. Mair however held her nerve and bowled two great yorkers to get the Renegades home for the first victory of the season.
